Having completed a military career spanning the late 70’s to
the early 90’s I left the military with a war disability pension. Considering a
second career I had a Eureka moment for a business addressing the skills
shortages, for the emerging Fibre Optics and Broadband Communications Cabling Networks
being rolled out across the world. Quickly establishing a business some 26
years ago to address the skills shortages in the UK and wider world. Cable
Telecommunications Training Services Ltd (CTTS) was born and growth was
realised by a wider group of connected businesses.
High lights include
National Training Award Winner from the UK government 2002. Training all over
the world and taking on the responsibilities for fibre optic cabling for the
London 2012 Olympics.
Re-skilling and assisting people from all walks of life
looking for a career change due to change in their circumstances into
employment in the modern Digital technology Communications world. Training thousands of men and women leaving
the armed services on resettlement training and assisting them into employment.
CTTS is an Armed Service Covenant Silver Award Status.
In 2019/20 CTTS was awarded Openreach External Training Provider
of the year:

In 2018/19 I under went major surgery having a total knee replacement
that limited my cycle touring ambitions. However, a week after the operation I
managed 5KM on a static bike and used cycling for my rehabilitation and I
continue to cycle as it is a passion of mine.
At the age of 59 , I still manage to run the business whilst
riding my bike!
